Diagnostic Testing

Objective assessments that map out a pathway towards becoming a more confident learner.

Aucocisco Learning Center provides diagnostic educational testing for children and adults. We identify academic strengths, weaknesses, and specific learning differences (dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD, processing speed, working memory). Common concerns we assess:

  • Falling behind in reading, writing, math, or classroom skills

  • Possible learning disabilities (e.g., dyslexia)

  • Uneven skills (strong verbal/weak math or vice versa)

  • Sudden or gradual drops in grades or test scores

  • Avoidance, frustration, or low academic confidence

  • Chronic disorganization despite interventions

  • Lack of improvement after prior supports

  • Inconsistent performance across settings or subjects

  • Need for objective data for school services, accommodations, placement, or independent evaluation

  • Preparing for school evaluations or baseline testing

  • Concerns about long-term academic trajectory, graduation, or college readiness

  • Recommendations for targeted intervention, therapy, or classroom strategies to reduce home conflict and stress

We offer two levels of Diagnostic Educational  Evaluations are available, using standardized tests and assessments to measure:  

  • Reading, writing, and mathematics levels

  • Learning style preferences

  • Reading speed and fluency

  • Memory and processing speed

  • Identification of all types of learning disabilities

Diagnostic Testing Options

The process starts with a complementary consult with one of our evaluators to determine what level best meets your students needs.

Level One: Academic Testing

Includes a records review of previous testing, evaluations, and IEPs; normed, standardized testing in reading (word identification, word attack skills, reading fluency, comprehension), spelling, and math (computation, concepts, applied problems/word problems); a written report summarizing findings, documenting test scores, and providing a summary narrative and recommendations; and a post-testing meeting with the evaluator available via video conference to explain findings. $850

 Level Two: Comprehensive Educational Assessment

Includes all services listed in Level One; additional written expression assessments in writing fluency and paragraph composition; any necessary cognitive testing (processing speed, verbal comprehension, visual-spatial reasoning); a detailed report with test scores, written analysis, recommendations, and suggested accommodations; and a post-testing meeting with the evaluator available via video conference to explain findings. This level testing is well suited for educational planning teams. $1,500
