1. Summer Intensive Program
- Monday through Thursday mornings for 6 weeks in July and August
- Improve speed, comprehension, and fluency in reading, writing and math
- Fast ForWord programs available
- Elementary and middle school levels
2. Summer Academic Assistance and Tutoring
- All subjects
- All grade levels
- Flexible scheduling, AM or PM
- Available Monday through Thursday in July and August
- Summer school make-up classes available
- Study skills
- SAT preparation
- Speed reading
3. Aucocisco "Backstage" Program
- Drama-based social pragmatics program
- For children and teens ages 8-16 with Asperger's syndrome, high-functioning autism, non-verbal learning disability, ADHD, anxiety disorder, and other related challenges, who struggle with social skills and peer
relationships - Integrates theater games and highly motivating, age-appropriate activities (such as video games, factual trivia games, etc.)
- Promotes relationship building and fosters skill development
- Teacher-to-student ratio of 1:3
- Groups are formed based on age range, interests, learning styles, and schedule availability
4. Preschool Program
- In conjunction with The Reach School, Aucocisco School is pleased to be offering a summer preschool program for students on the autism spectrum as well as for neurotypical peers.
- Three hour sessions with flexible scheduling options make this program ideal for students ages 3 and up.
- Come and enjoy art, outdoor activities, stories and fun games in a structured yet relaxed atmosphere.
5. Enrichment activities
- Make musical instruments, explore medieval Japan, create your own floor cloth, or learn about the ecology of Casco Bay at Aucocisco this summer.
- Varied enrichment activities will provide time for learning and fun. Explore your world and expand your mind!
